What all of it means

Every piece of the puzzle is here. Ask Bo what any of it means for you and he answers with the data, the sentiment, and what he already knows about your book.

Ask Bo to interpret it all

The Data Center puts the whole picture in front of you. Bo reads it. Text him about anything you just saw, in your own words, and he answers with the reasoning behind it: the fundamentals, the weather, the sentiment in the market, and what is actually trading on the book right now.

Anyone can put a number on a dashboard. Bo is trained on this market, and he is the one running the trades, so he can tell you what the number means for your book.

Collection is off in France and Germany on the supply screen, and the weather map still looks rough in the south. What does that actually mean for butter into Q4?
T
Bo
Supply is the easy half: both are running behind last year and the heat is still feeding through, so the front should stay supported.
Bo
The half you cannot see on a chart is that offers on our own book thinned out this week and Friday’s poll turned firmer on butter. That is the market agreeing with you before the price does.
Bo
So I would treat strength in the front as real and stay patient further out, because demand has not confirmed it yet. Want me to work an offer while we watch it?

Daily reports

A short recap of the trading day, handed to you at the end of the workday.

Tuesday · week 24

Daily report

The board today. Butter opened firm and stayed there, with two loads lifted above the index before ten. SMP feed traded twice at Friday's level, so the spread against food grade is unchanged. Cream is the one to watch: offers thinned out through the afternoon and nobody replaced them.

Wednesday · week 24

Daily report

The board today. A quiet start, then a run of Gouda 48+ bids just before noon that cleared most of the standing offers. Powder did nothing at all. Whey feed came off half a percent on thin volume, which is less a move than an absence of buyers.

Thursday · week 23

Daily report

The board today. Two loads cleared under the mark and the offer side rebuilt within the hour, which tells you more about depth than the price does. Butter futures held the front month while the back end softened, and nothing in the fundamentals moved enough to explain it.
